Tetra4 Horizontal Directional Drilling

TETRA4 intends to commercially develop the Virginia gas field by extracting gas from fractures occurring within the Ventersdorp and Witwatersrand Supergroup stratigraphic units located at depths of between 330 to 600 meters. To fully develop the gas field, TETRA4 intends to drill further vertical, deviated and/or directional exploration wells, which if successful will be converted to production wells.

The scope includes EPC services for a 1500m Horizontal Directional Drilled (HDD) exploration well, the location of which has been identified by third-party geologists. The works to be executed as per the basis of design and adherence to the TETRA4 and Petroleum Agency of South Africa (PASA) exploration drilling guidelines and protocols.
