EPCM is appointed by Sasol at its Nhamacunda housing complex in Vilanculos for the emergency repairs to the water supply system, including the treatment works, reservoirs and pipework. The appointment also includes a comprehensive engineering assessment of the treatment process and installed system, raw and treated water quality, operation and maintenance manuals and the storage and supply system capacity.
The next phase of the project will involve the implementation of the system upgrade in the form of an EPC contract, which may involve increasing the system capacity, replacement of reservoirs and increasing the capacity of the treatment system.
