Fire Suppression System Design at Stockpile A&B
Description of the project:
Foskor is one of the world’s largest producers of phosphate rock and phosphoric acid. Foskor’s plant in Phalaborwa does not have a fire suppression system at Stockpile A&B and is therefore susceptible to any fire risks.
The scope of the facilities includes all firefighting detection and suppression system engineering designs for Stockpile A&B at Foskor. A detailed design for a fire suppression system needs to be designed for the infrastructure that requires protection from fire. The infrastructure includes equipment such as the conveyor structure, east crusher, hose reels, fire detection system, pump station and deluge system

- Develop fire design layouts;
- Develop hydraulic design for firewater piping;
- Detailed design of fire suppression system;
- Detailed cost estimates.
