EPCM has been awarded the project to complete the concept and detail design (Class 3) for a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fueling network in Tanzania. This network comprises:

  1. A mother station located at Tegata, featuring:
Tube trailer filling facility (40,000 kg/day CNG)
Fast-fill and time-fill retail station (services 400 light vehicles & 200 heavy trucks daily)
Capacity to produce 76,000 kg/day CNG
  2. A daughter station 200 km away, supplying an industrial facility with:
    An average of 10,000 kg/day CNG (max 19,000 kg/day)
Decanting facility for boilers and generators (8,000 kg/day)
Direct dispensing for forklifts and trucks (2,000 kg/day)
  3. Two bus filling stations:
Station 1 dispenses 35,000 kg/day CNG to a fleet of 180 buses (existing diesel facility)
Station 2 dispenses 52,000 kg/day CNG to a fleet of 400 buses (existing diesel facility)
The design allows for future expansion of all facilities.

Services provided:
EPCM will deliver the following services for each facility:
