In 2005 Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation (BOST) constructed and commissioned a 270 km 8” multi-products pipeline running from their Buipe Depot to the Bolgatanga Depot in the Northern region of Ghana. The pipeline was operated for 3 years and the pipeline was shut-down with the pipeline still full of diesel. Basic maintenance was carried out whilst the pipeline was in shut-down mode.
The project involved completing an integrity assessment of an existing 270 km x 8” mothballed multi-products pipeline and tank farm to bring it back into serviceable operation. EPCM conducted an assessment on the conditions of the existing tanks and pipeline for ongoing service. The project was successfully recommissioned by EPCM and is currently in operation.
EPCM in collaboration with Frontier Pipeline Services Ghana was tasked with bringing the pipeline into full operation, to ensure the supply of petrol and diesel fuel products to their Bolgatanga depot.
